The Proto top is a simple, ultralight, pull-over style. The half-zip has a generous length for easy putting on/taking off, as well as giving some scope for venting excess heat. Likewise, the underarm area has no down insulation to aid body temperature regulation. Half-zip styles are lighter and warmer than their full-zip versions, and are perfect for anyone seeking to maximise their warmth-for-weight efficiency.

The Proto top has been designed as a pure mid-layer insulation garment, and hence has no pockets. The fill is 60 g of 800 fill-power ethically recovered Polish goose down, and is held in place by a stitch-through construction with horizontal and vertical baffles.

Care & Attention

Down is a very resilient insulating material and, with basic care, any down jacket should last you a very long time.
There are two simple rules to ensure longevity:
1. Always store your jacket uncompressed in a dry, airy place
2. Try to keep it as clean as possible to minimize washing (this ultimately damages the down).
